次の文章は、僕の親友、オマル(イエメン)からみんなへ向けたﾒｯｾｰｼﾞです。
Remember that you have to leave your old shores if you wish to reach new lands. I have learned a lot during the 43 days I spent on board of Nippon Maru, SWY19 with the other Japanese and Overseas participants.
The most important thing I discovered is that in order for us, human beings everywhere, to understand each other, we really need to communicate and talk with each other freely.
Before SWY19 I had many wrong images about others and their ways of living. However, after coming back to my country, Yemen, I realized how I had been mistaken in this regard and how many of my prejudgements were proven to be inaccurate.
For example, I used to think that Japanese people are always serious and busy all the time. Now I know that they are, of course, serious but they also have fun and enjoy their free time.
I have many wonderful memories with my sensi, Yasu-san especially every morning Karate exercise and I feel very honored to write this to you. In the end, please learn, achieve and succeed. I wish you all the best and remember, keep smiling.

まずはじめに、このﾒｯｾｰｼﾞは、君たちと分かち合いたい、ある種のアドバイスです。君たちは、何かを学ぶため、成功するために新しいことをはじめるのを、恐れてはならない！！
そして、新しい場所へ進むとき、古い靴を脱ぐのを忘れないで欲しい。私は、にっぽん丸での世界青年の船という事業を通して、日本の皆さんと、そして海外の皆さんとともに多くのことを学んできました。
私が学んだ一番大切なことは、世界に生きる我々すべては、もっともっとコミュニケーションをしなければならない、その必要がある、ということでした。
世界青年の船に参加する前は、自分の国以外の人、その人たちの生き方に対して間違ったイメージを持っていました。しかしながら、船を終えてイエメンへ帰ってきたとき、私は、私の持っていたいろいろな考え、先入観がいかに間違っていたかを感じました。
例えば、私はそれまでずっと、日本人はとても忙しく、シリアス、つまり堅苦しい人たちだと思っていました。しかし今、私は彼らの本当を知った。もちろん彼らはシリアスだけれども、楽しむときは大いに楽しんでいました。
そしてまた、私はすばらしい思い出をヤス先生と共有することができました。特に、早朝空手稽古にて。
今私はあなたたちにこういったﾒｯｾｰｼﾞを送ることができてとても光栄に感じています。
最後に、何かを達成すること、成功することの大切さを学んでください。いつも最高のあなたでいることを願っています。そして、笑顔を忘れないで。
